The Urvi Ashok Piramal Foundation is the corporate social responsibility arm of the Ashok Piramal Group. Set up in 2009, the foundation aims to empower communities to take on and sustain a social development process. The foundation has a presence in four states: Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa, and is engaged in projects ranging from health, vocational training, environment, water harvesting and education.
The Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh forest departments of the Pench reserve work tirelessly to protect the land and wildlife they are entrusted with. They help to rehabilitate villages in the buffer zone to avoid man-animal conflict. They also print publications and facilitate tourism to generate knowledge about our ecological resources.
