Elephant Poo Paper: Haathi Chaap Workshop

December 1, 2012 • Posted in: News, Workshops

Did you ever think poo could be of any use? Well, Haathi Chaap left us speechless with thier Haathi poo paper!

The perfect end to the Energy Module was a paper making workshop. The only difference in this paper making workshop and the conventional ones was that the students actually made paper from elephant dung! Better still, they learnt how to make paper from every kind of dung.

Sometimes, it takes less energy to make a product from used, old materials than it does to make it from new materials. The children were taught how to make their very own paper with the watermark of their school’s logo and these papers were put together to be used as notebooks and personal diaries.
